Overview
Smart parts lets you digitize your part inventory in seconds. You can upload a purchase order, invoice, or parts list, and then Limble's AI will automatically extract key part data from your uploaded documents, including the part name, part number, price, quantity, location, and category.
This article will walk you through how to access smart parts on the Limble desktop and begin creating parts in Limble.

Upload a Photo
Upload a Photo
From the Manage Parts page, click Add a Part > Add via Smart Parts.
In the smart parts window, upload a PDF or photo of a purchase order, invoice, or parts list.
(Note: if using a photo, ensure that the photo is in focus, well lit without glares, head on without extreme angles, the text is readable, and the document fills most of the frame.
(Note: you can optionally upload multiple purchase order photos at once. If you upload multiple photos at once, you'll go through the next steps for each purchase order, one at a time.)
Once the photo uploads, click Process 1 Document.
Review Part Data
Review Part Data
Smart parts will extract each part from the purchase order one at a time, including the part name, part number, price, quantity, location, and category.
Review the data for each part. Make any edits or add additional info, if needed.
After reviewing the part details, click Add Part.
(You can optionally click Skip on a part that you don't want to add, then continue to add the other parts from the purchase order.)
