Overview
From the Manage Work, Open Tasks and Completed Tasks pages, you can use a combination of filters to see tasks relevant to your needs.
If you need to see those tasks outside of Limble, you can then export those filtered tasks to Excel with the click of a button.
This article will teach you how to use Limble's filters to organize and filter your task lists from the desktop app, and how to download those tasks with your desired filters.
Table of Contents
How Filtering Works
Navigate to your desired task list by going to:
Locations > Select Your Location > Manage Work
Locations > Select Your Location > Open Tasks
Locations > Select Your Location > Completed Tasks
On every page, you will see a list of filters to choose from. Click on any filter to see the filtering options.
Filters can be used in all 3 view options: User, List and Calendar.
You can mix and match different filters. For example, you can filter tasks by "Priority" and "Status" to look at tasks that meet criteria based on both filter options.
However, you can only choose one option per filter. So if you are filtering by "Priority," you will only be able to filter by one priority at a time.
Active filters will be indicated next to or below the filter list depending on the size of your open window. If you leave a page, the filters will reset.
In addition to filters, you can use the search bar to filter down your list even more.
In List View, you can re-order your tasks by clicking the caret icon next to a column header.
Filter Options
The Manage Work, Open Tasks, and Completed Tasks pages each have their own unique filters.

Downloading Filtered Tasks
If this list needs to be used outside of Limble, it can be printed or exported into an spreadsheet or a .csv file by clicking on the "Import/Export" button.
From the dropdown, select "Download Tasks to Excel."
The list will only include tasks that meet the criteria of the filters you selected.
In this example, the task list only includes tasks that have a priority of "critical" with a status of "in progress" based on the selected filters.
When exported, the file will only include tasks with the filters that were chosen in Limble, as shown here.
(Note: If you are downloading tasks from Calendar View on the Manage Work or Open Task pages, your export will also include upcoming tasks that meet the filter criteria if no "Status" filters have been applied.)
