Overview

Sometimes, you may need to request a part, service, or other type of purchase to complete a task. Limble’s purchasing system enables you to submit a Purchase Request, which can be converted directly into a Purchase Order once it’s approved.

We have split the instructions for into two different categories:

Create a Purchase Request for a Part

If you need to request a part that isn’t in your Parts inventory, you can submit a Purchase Request directly from the task you’re working on.

You will be given the option to request a Part, a Service, or Other type of purchase. Select “Yes” under the Parts section.

Select the part you need from the subsequent pop-up window.

Provide the reason for requesting the part in the text box below and then hit “Submit” once you are finished. This completes the request.

The part you requested, as well as the Purchase Request, will be added to the Task you are working on.

Create a Purchase Request for a Service or some Other Purchase

Select “Request Purchase” in the task.

Select “Yes” under the Service section, and then pick a vendor, add a description of the service you need, the quantity (typically “1” for a service), the price, and the reason for the request.

For some Other purchase (e.g., you need to replace an asset), select “Yes” under the Other section, and then pick a vendor, add a description of the purchase you need to make, the quantity, the price, and the reason for the request.
