Overview

The price for a single spare part can fluctuate daily, meaning your preferred vendor may have the lowest price today, but the highest price tomorrow. At the same time, shopping for parts across various vendor websites is tedious and time consuming.

With Limble Search, you can easily compare prices, availability, and shipping times across preferred vendors with a click of a button!

This article will teach you how to use Limble Search and set up the Chrome extension to search and compare vendors on any site.

Step 1: Log In & Set Vendor Preferences

Using Limble Search is easy to do! First, we'll walk you through a high-level, step-by-step process of using our AI-powered search software.

From search.limble.com, click "Login."

Enter your credentials and click "Log In."

Once you've logged in, you're ready to use Limble Search!

First, we recommend setting vendor preferences. When you perform a search, only your preferred vendors will show up in the results.

To do this, click "Vendor Preferences" under the search bar, or go to Account > Vendor Preferences.

In the new window, select your preferred vendors by checking or unchecking the box next to their name. Limble Search will remember your preferences, but you can always change these later.

Step 2: Search & Enable Filters and Sorting

In the search bar, enter the part you're looking for. The more detail, the better! Using as many of these search terms will help Limble Search gather relevant results:

  • Part number

  • Product name

  • Brand name

  • Other specifics, such as size or dimensions

In the window below, Limble Search will grade the quality of your search -- "Low," "Medium," or "High" -- and provide suggestions to yield for more relevant results.

When you feel satisfied with your search term, click the magnifying glass to generate results.

Limble Search will begin loading.

Based on the search term, filters and vendor preferences, Limble Search will generate a "Best Match."

Limble Search will continue to look for the most relevant results, so you’ll always be looking at real-time data.

If we find more options, you’ll receive a pop-up prompting you to refresh your results.

By default, your results will only include preferred vendors. You can include more vendors by going to Filter By > Vendors > Show Hidden Vendors and selecting additional vendors.

(Note: selecting from your hidden vendors or deselecting a preferred vendor will not override your vendor preferences. If you conduct a new search, your preferences will reset to show you results from preferred vendors.)

To filter by price, enter a minimum and/or maximum in the textboxes under Filter By > Price.

You will find other relevant results within “Results You May Like.” These results can be sorted by relevance and price.

Step 3: Compare Vendor Prices

To visit the vendor’s site in a new tab, click “Visit Site.” If the “best match” result is sold by another vendor, you can compare them by clicking “Compare vendors.”

Other vendors will be listed under “Buying Options.”

Step 4: Add the Limble Search Extension

You can add the Limble Search extension on Google Chrome to search and compare prices as you browse your vendor sites!

From the toolbar click “Extension,” or go to search.limble.com/extension. Click “Add to Chrome.”

This will direct you to chrome web store. From here, click “Add to Chrome.” In the new pop-up, click “Add Extension.”

The extension will automatically be added to your browser.

Adding the extension will give you the ability to search in 3 ways:

  • Click the “Shop Prices” Button to conduct a new search using the part or product on the vendor page

  • Highlight text > right click > “Shop prices on Limble Search” to conduct a new search using the part or product name

  • Click the floating Limble logo. In the new pop-up, enter search criteria in the textbox to conduct a new search

(Note: the Limble Search Extension can be used with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.)

You’ll even see Limble Search within the Limble app! Clicking “Compare Prices” will conduct a new search using the part name and number.
